THE BIGGEST
WEEK
IN MUSIC

Southern Hemisphere's largest Music Industry Conference & Festival • September | Fortitude Valley, Brisbane

#Shaping the Future of Australian Music

Back in 2002, Queensland music industry body QMusic had a vision: put Australian artists on a stage in front of the people who could make a difference in their careers - managers, labels, bookers, publishers, and tastemakers from around the globe.

What started as a low-key music showcase has evolved into a multi-day festival and industry conference, that serves as an annual launchpad for Australian artists and entertainment professionals.

Think daytime sessions featuring heavy-hitting speakers, thoughtfully curated panels and workshops led by industry leaders, alongside networking events, parties, meetings, and more - all rolling into high-energy evening showcases packed with 100 up-and-coming Australian acts, positioned across Fortitude Valley’s legendary live music strip.

They call it "The Biggest Week in Australian Music."

AlwaysFirst Nations focus

Goolwal Goolwal is BIGSOUND's flagship First Nations Program, celebrating Indigenous excellence in the Australian music industry. Translated from the traditional Yuggera language, "Goolwal Goolwal" means "BIGSOUND."

The program creates dedicated space for First Nations artists and industry professionals through panels, workshops, performances, artist interviews, and cultural experiences - centred around the First Nations House and Goolwal Garden in Fortitude Valley's Brunswick Street Mall.
