#Details

Central Station Records started in 1976 with a Telex machine and a phone call to Miami at 4am. Since then it has navigated every era from vinyl through to streaming, while watching the studio move from hardware samplers to full digital workstations. Every technology shift changed how music was made, sold and heard. Central Station lived through all of it and is now part of the next shift with KiTbetter, whose physical and digital KiTalbum format is reshaping what a physical release can be in a digital world. This session uses the label's 50 year catalogue as the timeline, tracing what actually stays constant when everything else keeps changing.

Hosted by Jennifer Sullivan, Chief Marketing Officer at KiTbetter, the panel is led by Jo Palumbo, who founded Central Station in 1976 and has run it ever since, alongside Jamie Raeburn, Managing Director, Matt Nugent, Chief Operating Officer, and Ashley Gay, former A&R at the label, now MD at Xelon Digital.
