Mertas are a punk band from the remote community of Nhulunbuy in Arnhem Land, Northern Territory — one of Australia’s most isolated coastal communities.
With two independent album releases; Cookers Paradise and So Far From Punk, the band deliver high-energy punk shaped by isolation, coastline and community character.
Continuing to build momentum through their live shows, Mertas represent a distinct voice from regional Australia: unapologetic, loud and loose.
