Maaike Kito

Kito's musical journey began in her teens, inspired by electronic music from artists like Aphex Twin, DJ Shadow, and Bjork. At 19, she won a local DJ competition and sold her prize to buy more records. As a producer, Kito has crafted a unique sound influenced by her time in London’s dance-music scene, with early releases on labels like Skream’s Disfigured Dubz, Diplo’s Mad Decent, and Ed Banger. Now based in Los Angeles, she has worked with artists such as Banks, Empress Of, Jeremih, and Fletcher, earning her first Gold record for “Bitter” with over 200 million streams.
