Tam started in the music industry in the 90’s, with record companies EMI and Universal Music Australia, and some band management, before making her move to the live sector.
After overseeing the transformation of the Lion Arts Theatre into a 500-capacity music venue which went on to become Fowlers Live and now Lion Arts Factory, in 2003 she went out on her own and started Jive, a dedicated performance space catering to local, national and international artists.
Tam is also the bars manager for The Garden Of Unearthly Delights, a 15000 capacity arts festival operating annually during the Adelaide Fringe.
